Falling meteor lights up sky over Florida

https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/florida/fl-ne-meteor-florida-20190331-story.html

Social media was lit up by a falling meteor that lit up the skies over northern Florida on Saturday night.

The sight was so astonishing that one driver’s dashboard camera captured him shouting “What the f--- was that!” after the blazing space rock plummeted to Earth.

Videos posted by witnesses who happened to be out driving — and who had their dash cams turned on— showed the meteor streaking down over the Florida sky at about 11:55 Saturday night.

Meteorite: a meteor that survives its passage through the earth's atmosphere such that part of it strikes the ground.

I was lucky that I only had to drive 5 hours north to see it perfectly.

The solar eclipse twilight is indescribable.

It's one of those things one can never forget. Another one is coming in a few years, not sure exactly when. But we'll drive to Dallas where there's supposed to be an even more awe inspiring view.

If Dump doesn’t start a nuclear war by then.

It will be double the length of August 21, 2017. Runs on arc from Mexico all the way up to Newfoundland.
