Port of Tampa Bay will be closed after 3 am.

Pray that all the Republicans stay safe as my mother wants no sympathy for them. This means they have to come in out of the rain.

Not looking good for the Panhandle and Big Bend areas though. Even though only a projected cat2, Isaac is a pretty large storm, which generates a larger storm surge than wind strength alone would suggest. Ike was an example of that effect.

might just get plastered w/rain and some ferocious wind.

Perhaps Rick Perry can pray for rain, the skies would clear and the state might just burst into flame like TX after Perry's prayers!

I don't wish a plague of bad weather on anyone but there is an imp inside of me that grins when the GOP gets their due....

11. Other than New Orleans, the western track could help with the drought.

That long red track would goes right across the drought region.

still so much uncertainty - if this storm does go farther west, it will have more time to strengthen over water, and the weather experts are still stumped as to where it's heading, let alone it's intensity at landfall

so yeah - if want a big hurricane to water your lawns, this could be the one for you
