Duchess St. Rollins: From the den of dumbfuckery, Christians Against Obama

From the den of dumbfuckery, Christians Against Obama. ♥

Try and wrap your mind around this, you holy-rolling fuckwits, the numbers you are citing have already been thoroughly debunked by Media Matters and Fact Check. Not only that,
but you screwed up the erroneous figures to begin with! It was falsely reported in the WSJ that oil companies make 7 cents per gallon to the government's 88 cents and the statistics cited were traced back to ExxonMobile themselves. According to the Congressional Research Service, the five main oil companies made almost $133 billion in profits in 2011, compared to the U.S. government who only generated $24 billion with the federal gas tax. Isn't it rather slothful to do such piss-poor research and half-assed reporting?

The next glaring inaccuracy in your little status update is your preposterous claim that the government is spending $40,000 a second on "socialist" policies (which were all voted on by democratically elected officials). First of all, what "socialist" policies are you referring to exactly and do you include the $7 billion in subsidies we hand out to oil companies every year in that figure? I'm guessing not, but that you are once again shamefully blaming the poorest and most vulnerable for our fiscal problems. Meals on Wheels and baby formula for poor children via programs like WIC are the real fucking problem, right? Why do you think it's okay for oil industry executives, which are being showered with record profits and bonuses to get tax breaks and be subsidized by the taxpayers, but not people who are working and struggling to make ends meet AND THEIR INNOCENT CHILDREN?

WWJD? Well, I assume he would provide for the weak and downtrodden and want those living in lavish opulence to chip in a bit. I'm pretty sure Jesus never uttered, "those poor kids aren't my fucking problem" and wasn't fond of Social Darwinism in general.

Anyway, let's move on to this debt you all constantly yammer about. We are still able to borrow at an absurdly low interest rate and the smart thing to do would be to not worry so much about the debt and worry instead about getting this fucking country back on its feet. Would you worry about your credit card debt if the only way you could get some food so you didn't starve to death was to charge it and pay it back later? If you don't eat, you become weak and can't work and the vicious cycle repeats forever until you die. THAT'S the situation we're in as a country right now and tightening the belt instead of investing in infrastructure projects and putting Americans back to work is the STUPIDEST thing we could possibly do at this point. Don't you douchehammers read about what's happening in Europe?

I don't think the problem here is "O." It's lazy, malleable dolts like yourselves who believe everything Fox tells them without investigating any of their bullshit propagandist claims. Fuck you for being such a bunch of gullible morons and spreading this fabricated, fear-mongering horseshit.

Funny, on EVERY single political site on FB, it's the "christians" that are the most vile, racist, and homophobic, of all. Jesus would TOTALLY unfriend their asses.

...is one write-up. I've looked at other polling numbers that break down about the same nationally; the GOP would be toast now without these guys, and they keep them loyal by stoking up the fear, racism, homophobia, and whatever else works.

Somehow the modern American Christian has caricatured Jesus into a war mongering, wealth enabling, race baiting, Rambo who spits on the poor and believes that truth is the truest of all evils. Congrats!

Well said!

(Edited to add: Posting here because I do not subscribe to, nor do I trust Facebook.)

Your posts at least imply that you believe that at some point, logic, reasoning and the facts of life will eventually sink in with the Right Wingers that you are addressing.

The fact of the matter is, some of these Right wingers you're knocking some sense into, already have their senses. They know they're factually wrong. Let me repeat - some of these Right Wingers know they're spouting off falsehoods. The rest? If they are ignorant and they do learn that they're wrong, they simply do not care. For most Conservatives, if you destroy their arguments they will simply come up with crazier arguments, and if they run out of arguments, they'll go rabid. That is because for all of the above - the intentional liars and the simply ignorant alike - the common reality is worse than them not caring. Here is what you are REALLY dealing with.

When you post messages to Right Wingers, you are dealing with a crowd that seethes with hatred for the poor. They see the poor and they see a group of people who they feel should be gotten rid of. They are Calvinists - they believe that being rich is a gift from God and poverty is God's way of punishing the wicked. They see the poor as wicked - lazy, unproductive, ultimately unfit for survival, and doomed in the afterlife. They see the poor as useless eaters.

The Right Wing is about Social Darwinism: survival of the richest and their chosen sycophants, and the elimination of everyone else who doesn't fit in. That includes the poor, and those who advocate for them.

Nothing you say, no facts that you bring forth, will ever sway a Conservative. You cannot convince a polar bear to see you as one of its own. Polar bears (particularly males) will even eat their own young, especially in times of existential crisis. Crocodiles will do the same thing, and we're all familiar with the shark feeding frenzy. Mama snakes will eat non-viable offspring. Male lions will also kill other lions' cubs to make room for his own. Chimpanzees will tear each other to pieces. Conservatives are like this with fellow humans. You cannot reach them. You will never reach these animals.

They are the most terrifying of savages at their core. There is something horribly wrong with these creatures on a level even more fundamental than brain chemistry. You cannot reach them mentally. You cannot even reach them spiritually. The WORST THING you can do is talk to them about "What would Jesus do?" These guys want to rewrite the Bible because it doesn't agree with their agenda of Social Darwinism and Calvinism. Theirs is a holy war against those who don't fit in with the Plutocracy.

It goes without saying that it is pointless to argue with these people. They're not listening. They're not mentally or spiritually wired to listen.

I know this sounds over the top. But you can set the Conservative clock to this.

will help clarify:

Yes, I’m an angry, foul-mouthed, rude bitch. So fucking what.

I’m asked fairly often about my approach to all of this political stuff. People say, “wouldn’t it be better to try and get them to listen to us instead of just slinging insults at them?” Fuck no, and here’s why; the Tea Party “Patriots” are out of their goddamn, Jesus-loving minds.

When someone is that wrapped up in unforgiving, die-hard dogma, I immediately know two things. First of all, they don’t think like me. I don’t mean they don’t have all of the same opinions and beliefs as me, that would be perfectly fine, I mean their brains are broken. They can’t process the gray areas of life. They live in a world of black and white, absolute certainty, winners and losers and good vs. evil and oftentimes seem incapable of entertaining the notion that life might be a little more dynamic than a fucking episode of Hee Haw or The Wheel of Fortune. There is actually research that shows that conservatives are more linear and less nuanced in their thinking than liberals. That is to say, they can’t handle complexity so everything to them is literally right or wrong. (Read Chris Mooney’s The Republican Brain for a more thorough understanding of this phenomenon, but do not mention it to a conservative because they won’t believe the conclusions any more than they believe in evolution or global warming)

The second thing of which I am keenly aware when confronted with the standard issue, Wal-Mart teabagger is that as a liberal I am really fond of in-depth research as opposed to getting all my news from a certain “fair and balanced” news source and/or conspiratorial blogs written by people with 17 years worth of canned food and a small arsenal tucked away in their nuke-proof, underground survival bunkers. Before I had my epiphany I used to argue with these kooks daily. I knew they generally distrusted any information that did’t support their crackpot narrative, but reflexively I still routinely inundated them with a barrage of facts and logic because, what the fuck else can you do during a debate? I mean, that’s what sane people do anyway. Of course, they never did change their minds about a damn thing and the whole debacle would often end with them screaming or wearing out their Caps Lock key ranting about the liberal media and some massive conspiracy involving FEMA camps…and me losing an hour of my life I will never, ever get back.

Between you and me, though, the problem with the Tea Party Patriots that she talks of, is that even if they do grow a brain and come to accept evolution and global warming, it will simply be to further justify their Social Darwinist agenda.

Allow me to explain.

If a Teabagger comes to accept evolution they will look at Charles Darwin's theories and extract this to suit their agenda:

Thus the weak members of civilized societies propagate their kind. No one who has attended to the breeding of domestic animals will doubt that this must be highly injurious to the race of man. It is surprising how soon a want of care, or care wrongly directed, leads to the degeneration of a domestic race; but excepting in the case of man himself, hardly any one is so ignorant as to allow his worst animals to breed.

The "weak members", in their mind, are the disabled and the poor. They will accept evolution and they will use it as justification to get rid of the poor. It wouldn't be the first time that this Darwin's words were used to justify evil: in fact, eugenics has existed since thousands of years before Darwin came along. See: Sparta.

Likewise with global warming: if a Teabagger comes to accept that humans are causing catastrophic climate change, they will embrace population control. In fact, Teabaggers already do embrace population control - FOR THE POOR, that is.

In their minds, when they grow up and accept grownup concepts like evolution and global warming, it will only make things even worse.

What I am talking about - population control and misinterpretation of Darwin's theories to justify exterminating undesirables - has in fact happened before. It was called Nazi Germany. And they didn't unlearn their belief system until the Russians entered Berlin and visited great horrors upon them, and Western military forces dragged post-war West German families from their homes and made them dig up the bodies in the concentration camps. EVEN AFTER THAT, as late as 1952, about a quarter of Germans still supported Hitler. 37% still felt Germany was better off without the Jews.

If the Duchess, or any of the rest of us who are tired of arguing with these savages, were to reach them with facts or reasoning, we would actually be giving them more reasons to hate the poor and those who advocate for them.
