If Trump Gets Impeached

If he gets impeached and the Senate does what they suppose to do, he could still run for President again. Would Pence run for President? Imagine if a Republican wins the Primary and Trump lost the Republican nomination.... The orange CLOWN would run Independent! Sewing up a clear DEMOCRATIC VICTORY!

Incorrect! Impeachment can preclude future office. It's right in the Constitution! manor321 Apr 2019 #4

You can't run for the office again.

Article 1, Section 3, Clause 7 of the Constitution states:

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment, and Punishment, according to Law.

He would be deemed ineligible (just as if the candidate was 20 years old).
