She is very good hearted. She hates seeing the children hurting.

She came from an awful background. One of the worst I have ever heard of. She got married at 16 to get away from 2 awful drunks. No education really.

She just doesn't have the capacity to think things through so she is very easy to manipulate. She changes her mind every time the wind blows.

To tell them from other people. That is your normal and it seems familiar and comfortable.

My mother was a narcissist. Her behavior was abominable. But to me it was normal. It was years before I started to see that behavior as abnormal.

Now I can spot it in a nanosecond. Thank God. She still thinks monsters are just normal people. But, oddly, she is not like them at all.

Abuse does weird things to people's minds. Even when you get completely away you have to be really vigilant all the time. Those scars are just so deep.
