A $2 trillion infrastructure deal outlined this week by President Trump and top Democrats is already losing momentum, as the president’s own chief of staff is telling people inside and outside the administration that the effort is too expensive and unlikely to succeed.

The tentative accord to repair the nation’s roads, revitalize mass transit and expand broadband systems was reached at a private White House meeting Tuesday between Trump and Democratic leaders in Congress, who said they were pleasantly surprised by the president’s willingness to back a large-scale spending effort.

But the initiative has run into immediate opposition from Republicans who balk at the hefty price tag and from conservative allies who are pushing lawmakers to block it. Those opposed to the deal include Trump’s top aide, Mick Mulvaney, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who is not in favor of the spending, according to people who have spoken to him.

“Everything is going exactly the way we wanted it to,” Norquist, the organization’s president, said Friday. “The White House all came out immediately — the White House staffers and others saying tax increases are off the table. Republican leadership, House and Senate, came and said that tax increases are off the tabl

is going to sabotage Trump's WH too, on this at least. They really, really don't want to see wages rise and the people share in the ongoing market boom.

the infrastructure.
What a nightmare that would be.
Imagine what the owners could do-
kickbacks to have road construction crews work for months on “maintenance” in front of their competitors doors, or the large increases in tolls once they don’t have public highways to compete with, and those are just off the top of my head.

And for him to try and claim its the Democrats stalling and stopping this to get done, but he probably has already gotten contractors lined up to shake down for kickbacks into his PAC to secure them getting the jobs, which he funnels it then into his pockets. Just like he has done to foreign countries to promote anything they can against his upcoming opponents, and suggest they do this in return for favorable decisions by him for them, and also probably demanding they contribute, or else. Its all about him getting payoffs , and shaking them down for them. Democrats could be helping him scam us with these talks and agreements, and should include many safeguards or no deal. They shouldn't trust him to do as he claims, especially after his history of corrupting any deals he's been involved in. 2 trillion that he could get a dime of in his pockets is unacceptable , ever, or funneled to say a russian company for a payoff to him .
