i think barr told mueller he couldnt indict.

i also think he told him to stop. but if he didnt, he told him he couldnt indict, so he was wasting his time.
but i think that is what the march 4 meeting was about.

i have no doubt he interfered in some way.
impeachable.

if i had to pick trump or barr to impeach, i would pick trump, but i have no illusions that housecleaning is gonna be a bitch, and if we dont get rid of barr, before he can fuck up anything else, it will be a lost cause.
impeach barr first. he is in the way of justice. period.

DOJ flawed opinion, and good strategic avoidance of the partisan - not as vulnerable to attack, knowing their would be much partisan arguments to try and drive the issues.

and if you follow dr maddow, you know that the history is that it was intended to get spiro agnew out of the white house before he could ascend to the throne.

i cant believe mueller swallowed that whole. i cant believe he thought an indictment wasnt called for.
i think barr was sent in to back him down.

I'm a little tired of these threads that are not aware of the special counsel law. If that happened, it would have been required to be reported to Congress.

Nobody had to tell him that he can’t indict the president, because that was established DOJ policy and the SC regulations required him to follow department policy:

you think these fuckers care about the rules?
you think they dont know how to pull that shit is a way that doesnt have to be reported?

like i phrased it- bill says, ya know bob, you cant indict the president. and you cant say someone ought to.
yes, it is just an internal rule, not a law. you want to fight about that? how about no.

these crooks are pros.

I seem to recall rumors to that effect back then, but it was about indicting Trump.
