Local media is on it continually--not even breaking for national news at 5:30.

The media no longer cares unless there is a sensational element to the shooting or the death count is high.

say the name of the shooter a few weeks ago in California synagogue. That was CNN. Maybe they got evidence that lack of publicity really does reduce the incidences of mass shootings?

shooters. After a shooting they go quiet (they are kids or young adults I think). Then a week later they start sharing and talking shootings again. After Parkland they went quiet for months. Like Emma Gonzales and the Hoggs got through to them finally. Made it uncool to be rebellious by following shooters.

provide names and photos initially so that information from the public that might help in investigations can be elicited/solicited. Then, shift to focusing on the discussion of "perpetrators" without further naming/details. The transition might be days or up to a week, but it is supposed to be as rapid as possible.

There used to be dozen upon dozen of threads after a mass shooting, especially a school shooting, for several weeks and numerous calls to shut the Gungeon down here but not no more.

People have become acclimatized to it.
