Ignorance and bigotry proudly displayed by RNC delegate

You have to see the video with this Tampa Bay Times story:

http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/article1248034.ece

At 1:03 in the video, you start hearing the voice of a woman later identified as Kansas delegate Vonda Wiedmer:

"You know, what I love about Romney. He's an American citizen, and this time I want an American citizen. He's a Christian, and this time I want a Christian. He's somebody that loves our military, and I want somebody that loves our military this time. I want somebody this time in the White House that I think cares about America and cares about me, and not somebody that I think is trying to hurt my country."

Willard is the son of a Mexican born father
Mormons do not consider themselves Christians
The Romneys love the military so much that for 5 generations have not served in the military(no fighting during WWII)
Willard cares so much in America that he invests millions in other countries

evangelicals judge differently. Naturally the church itself says it is Christian, it is after all the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.

I have no dog in the fight, but I lived many years in Salt Lake and know many Mormons.

This week's revelations about Palin's family life and public life aren't getting much traction here on the convention floor. In fact, they only seem to bolster support for the Republicans' first female vice presidential candidate.

"Think Sarah Palin's a pitbull. I think she can handle tough times, and I'm excited to turn her loose on Washington, D.C.," said Kansas Delegate Vonda Wiedmer.

"Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, was born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, in the state of Hawaii..."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_life_and_career_of_Barack_Obama

Anyone who knows about Wikipedia knows there's been a huge fight over this statement (probably) and yet it stands.

And, yes, Vonda, Hawai'i IS part of the United States of America:

"The Admission Act, formally An Act to Provide for the Admission of the State of Hawaii into the Union (Pub.L. 86-3, enacted 1959-03-18) is a statute enacted by the United States Congress and signed into law by President Dwight D. Eisenhower which dissolved the Territory of Hawaii and established the State of Hawaii as the 50th state to be admitted into the Union. Hawaii remains the most recent state to join the United States."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaii_Admission_Act

"Hawaii was admitted into the Union on August 21, 1959, on issuance of Proc. No. 3309, Aug. 21, 1959, 24 F.R. 6868, 73 Stat. c74, as required by sections 1 and 7(c) of Pub. L. 86-3, Mar. 18, 1959, 73 Stat. 4, set out below."
