If there's an actual impeachment vote (not an inquiry), then there likely wouldn't be any movement on anything outside of that.

If it succeeded in the Senate then there wouldn't be much point in further public inquiry... and if it failed there would be no political will to pick up another investigation.

This is nonsense.

An impeachment inquiry is a heightened inquiry, which gives judges more reason to be deferential to the requests of Congress.

All other Congressional activity continues normally.
