*Might* have worked 40 years ago before Reagan and globalization encouraged corporations to minimize the power of unions and "big gubment" in order to maximize profits and ROI for management and shareholders by moving jobs offshore to cheap labor markets where hordes of desperate people are happy to work for beans. (Their communist/autocratic governments will make sure of that! 
) Now after 40 years the supply chains and distribution channels are all set up for global trade and corporate profit/ROI maximization. I doubt the corporations and Wall Street are much interested in Donny's little plan.
