Adam Tells Trump That His Reelection Is Not Going To Happen

Adam Schiff was right
The political energy in this country is focused on defeating Donald Trump. Our body politic has institutionally reacted to Trumps corruption like it is trying to reject a bad organ to save itself. Trump can bluster and claim that he is going to be reelected, but so far, the energy is not there. His crowds are straggling out of his rallies while he is still talking. Trump has done nothing to expand the electoral map, as swing states that he carried in 2016 are showing signs of slipping away from him in 2020.
Hisgreat economy hasnt been good for working people. Healthcare is an issue that is on everyones minds, and the nation seems ready to move on from Trump and back to stability.

(36,464 posts)I have a hard time believing that middle class Americans are feeling this great economy that the news reports on every day. I'm not. The DJIA means nothing to me.

(7,432 posts)It has no bearing on everyday wages, but it IS having a bearing on everyday prices. And it's increasing the wealth inequality between the rich and everyone else.

Time and again, I see the Republican talking head say that the economy is great, nothing else matters, and the Democratic talking head will respond with something like, "Sure, the economy is good, but..."
90% of the people listening won't hear anything after the "but"
Even if the people are doing only ok, or just getting by, if they think the economy is great, they have the hope that a better job or a bigger pay raise is right around the corner.

(25,111 posts)I'm one to believe that pissing t-rump off is key because he can't handle the truth.
- He is a business failure (1 billion and much more in the hole)
- Losing the Presidency (fear, indictment)
t-rump is already insane and getting more insane. With that, he will do whatever to keep power and continue to steal taxpayer's money. That is why he needs Russia. That is why he needs the Republican party.
There are cracks in the Republican party. McTurtle only care about himself. When he sees t-rump losing support, McTurtle will cover himself.

(6,212 posts)and it proves he is certifiably insane. I could not believe what I was hearing out of his mouth. Adam Schiff is spot on. The insane trump has got to go for the good of this country.

(56 posts)Trump is much like the wizard in The Wizard of Oz. We give him power when
we repeat the idea that he is indestructible. He is really a broken down little man
with no power behind the curtain.

(6,176 posts)he actually tried to expand his base.
But, he thinks 41% approval will get the job done.
I don't think math is his strong point.
If the Democrats play the impeachment card correctly, that will probably drop down into the mid to high 30's.
The impeachment battle won't be won in the Senate, it will be won in the hearts and mind of the people of this country.

(3,011 posts)when Schiff says "he will be defeated...he has to be defeated", he doesn't sound as certain as some here seem to think. He is only certain that our republic will go down if he is reelected. And, it will. Schiff is not certain of the outcome of this election.
I think that trump can win with 40% support, because we still transmit election tallies over the web. It's a cyberwar we're up against and we're not prepared.
I believe Hillary won, possibly in a landslide, and yet he won HUGE upsets in all the states he needed to win an electoral college victory. People are naive if they don't believe this can happen again.
She lost Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania - states where she was polling very well and favored to win...states she needed for an electoral college victory.
In the Mueller report, these states are mentioned. Why? Is it helpful to know information when you are engaged in hacking the vote?
From the Mueller report: [quote] Manafort briefed Kilimnik on the state of the Trump Campaign and Manaforts plan to win the election. That briefing encompassed the Campaigns messaging and its internal polling data. According to Gates, it also included discussion of battleground states, which Manafort identified as Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. [endquote]
From the Mueller report: [quote] Later, in a November 5, 2016 email to Kushner entitled Securing the Victory, Manafort stated that he was really feeling good about our prospects on Tuesday and focusing on preserving the victory, and that he was concerned the Clinton Campaign would respond to a loss by mov[ing] immediately to discredit the [Trump] victory and claim voter fraud and cyber-fraud, including the claim that the Russians have hacked into the voting machines and tampered with the results. [endquote]
I'm not trying to be debbie downer, but we need to be smart here. Only one side is playing by the rules and it's not working.
