Dear Conservatives (re: abortion)

Dear Conservatives. You spend a lot of time and money fighting abortion.
But what does it really do for the issues you claim to care about?

Does it:
1) Stimulate the economy?
2) Create jobs?
3) Strengthen the military?
4) Drive stocks up?
5) Improve education? (Oops, my bad, you don’t care about that)
6) Defeat terrorism?
7) Reduce immigration?
8) Protect the environment? (Another oops. You could care less.)
9) Promote religion? (Statistically and anecdotally, seems to be scaring off new converts)
10) Increase gun ownership?

Here’s a crazy “libertarian” idea: Keep the government out of the issue and let people solve it for themselves. And if you really believe they’re all sinners, let God sort it out.. If he's really all-powerful, I'm assuming he can handle it.

1. Pregnancy, in their squinty eyes, is punishment for sex.

And boy are they into punishment. Their faux concern for the fetus just masks their puritanical rage for unpunished "dirty" acts. IMHO.

they're listening to their priests every sunday telling them it's murder and it's the most important issue in the world.

4. Not just priests, the leaders of this movement are southern baptists.

I was raised Catholic and I know plenty of people in that religion who hate abortion but I have never seen people as nuts about this issue than the southern baptists I live around. They are obsessed with getting rid of roe, they would vote for lucifer, and many did last time, in order to stop abortion. Be afraid of them, very afraid of them.
