PLEASE;
In all of your speeches and interviews at and around the Democratic convention next week.
Do Not call them Republicans.
Do Not refer to them as the GOP.
Call them what they are...the Tea Party...Tea Partiers or Tea Baggers. Look at their platform and listen to all of their attacks. They do not deserve the right to claim the name of a legitimate party with a place in American history. They are a heavily funded insurgent organization and need to be clearly tagged as such.
Please consider this suggestion.

(149,737 posts)But I think that if we want to take the high road, we need to refer to them as the Republican Party.
That is their official name, after all.

I hear ya, though!

(42,769 posts)They would rather bring our country to its knees, as they have already done, than to
do anything that might be interpreted as making a Dem administration look good.

(11,833 posts)should be mentioned. I'd still call them all republicans though.
Primarily I'd emphasize what the democratic party is doing to improve the economy. And what obstruction is coming from the republican party, which is beholden to tea party racism and trickle down nonsense.
I think your idea of consistently tying the republican party to the tea party is great, because its true. No matter how many republicans try and deny it, the republican party is absolutely tied to the tea party.
