17-Year-Old Student Shot At Perry Hall High School; Suspect In Custody; Parents Talk To WJZ About Facebook Threat
PERRY HALL, Md. (WJZ) A student was shot and critically wounded on the first day of classes at Perry Hall High School Monday and police said a suspect was quickly taken into custody.
Police say a 17-year-old male student has been shot and one suspect, a student, is in custody. Police say the student brought the gun into school. A young man without a shirt was seen by Sky Eye Chopper 13 being escorted to a police cruiser in handcuffs. Its not clear if he is the accused shooter. Police say there is no active shooter on campus.
The injured student will be flown by Medevac to Shock Trauma. He is in serious condition.
I want to offer reassurance to everyone that the police department has the situation well under control, said Kevin Kamenetz, Baltimore County Executive.
