Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) told CNN that some of his Republican colleagues have sympathized with his recent statement that President Trump engaged in impeachable conduct. 

Said Amash: “So people who are baffled by it, I wonder how carefully they read volume two because it’s there. There’s a difference between skimming the pages and actually reading it and understanding it.”

1. They get paid 200k a year.

Plus benefits that probably double that. But, can't be bothered to read to, or listen to it on audiotape? come on. Sounds like quite a party.

3. Part of me thinks Amash is trying to press Dems to impeach on the GOP's timeline (sooner)

rather than whatever strategy Pelosi et al have come up with (Lordy, I hope they have one).

Trump and some GOPers think impeachment would be good for him because then he will try to frame it as a nakedly partisan fight and all the terrible crap his administration is doing is ignored by the predicable corporate media -- they always go for soap operas and horse races over substance.

Whether or not Trumpists/GOPers are right about that assessment, no way should Pelosi et al allow Amash to influence their timeline one iota.
