The more I study and research and watch documentaries, the more I learn.
The more I learn that right now, the biggest threat to our economy and overall existence is wall street and the murder they get away with daily.
The continuing funneling of money to the top earners, the continuing amount of tax they get away without paying or very little tax, sometimes a percentages LESS than you or I pay.
Illegal immigration, abortion, guns are good talking points, but they do NOT have any where NEAR the amount of impact the current state of the economy, wealth inequality, and class warfare has on all citizens of the US.
Then I see the biggest pick for the next President is Joe Biden...of all people.
Bernie....who has a lot of good ideas, ideas I like, is still being labeled as as socialist and being eaten alive on here sometimes.
We cannot endure more "establishment politics". That includes picking an establishment dem for the next president.
We need radical, immediate change ideas inside the mind of the next president.
Another 4 years of Trump will be the end of the US.
4 Years of HRC (if she runs) or Biden will only serve to remove the very slightest of the shit pile of that the 4 years of Trump, and 8 years of GWB has flung into the working mechanism of the economy.
Like climate control, we need change TODAY. We don't need little changes that we immediately get removed the next time a GOP becomes president.
Anyone who does not claim that they are going to rip Wall St and the 1% a new one...should not even be CONSIDERED an ideal choice.

(33,643 posts)Our far better opportunity is to get decent people ELECTED, and then put the pressure on to get what we liberals want.
But hey, thanks for playing!

(96,882 posts)The average voter is concerned about their income, the cost of health care and education, etc. but they are NOT resentful of people who earn more. Going after income inequality in the private sector will not generate votes for your radical ideas, and an overtly radical candidate increases the likelihood of a Republican re-election resulting in no changes at all.

(7,142 posts)Bernie is pushing it but it has been suggested many times before. The high speed trades serve no purpose other than making people in the in money. Other countries have passed this, it's time.
