Well, it failed! One Texas Congressman said it did not give enough money to help at the southern border! And they say that it is Dems who don't pass anything!

(52,438 posts)3. He can't prevent it, but he can sabotage a unanimous consent vote.
All he likely did was delay its passage in order to grandstand a bit.
The house can try again by unanimous consent on Tuesday, and if he continues to obstruct, they can have a full house vote in June.
It remains very likely to pass.

It passed the Senate 85-8. I read that the lone person from Texas was holding up the bill. Why does the House need unanimous consent? Why not vote up and down and put people on record?
