Another rabid repugnant encounter

Full on spew about Obama "wrecking the country" despite my explanations re Bush economy crash - he denied that car companies paid back the loans for example.

I finally implored him to do actual research about one single fact. After he claimed that the Dems had paid for the Steele report I said do the reading as it was started by Republicans. He vehemently denied this.

I asked if he did that and concede just that one fact to contact me for further discussion.

This guy was full on with every talking point they produce.

I should have asked if he knew about Cambridge Analytica.

I suspect not.

They have planted their points deep in his brain.

I kept the talk very civil with smiles and shook his hand. He was a total stranger I met by chance. Father of a neighbor.

It is scary to be up close and personal with someone so taken with BS

They don't know what they don't know. They get very emotional when their tenuous holds on the snarled web of their fragile confirmation biases is challenged by facts.

My brother was practically in tears because I ridiculed his favorite FoxNoise celebrity pundits. He was so distraught you'd have thought I'd just lambasted his wife, but that's how deeply ingrained the brainwashing is.

"You are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts..." Daniel Patrick Moynihan..
I have a good friend that just wont believe anything that does not tow the conservative/libertarian/right wing line. We don't talk much anymore cause the conversation ALWAYS devolves into a political discussion.. Never argue with an idoit.. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience...

4. They don't know anything, about anything. Know nothing about everything.

And they're so sure they're right.

So sure they have to mouth off to everybody about how they know it all.

So they have no time to learn about anything.

They're too busy.

Then walk away. If he tries to continue, repeat that he is wrong on every point.

Do not engage!
