Or have lower profit margins which Wall Street will not like. They expect these companies to have increased earnings every quarter.

I heard 100% duty on shoes and sneakers. I'm going shoe shopping tomorrow to load up because of this.

I think one thing all Americans don't like is higher prices on a lot of goods suddenly. I HOPE HE IS DESTROYED.

So it’s an excuse for me to not buy anymore shoes.

I hope the Dollar stores keep their word, but Wall Street will hurts their stock price if they don’t get those earnings. Interesting enough it will hurt the already bruised retail industry. Just in time for the 2020 election. I hope all Democratic candidates mention this when they are campaigning. You’re paying more for goods because the repukes did nothing to stop fat donnie and his stupid tariffs which blew back in our faces.

The next shoe to drop is if China stops buying our treasuries.Yields will go up and prices of existing will go down.

What mesages ane methods do you think would more effectively resonate with people?

And what more can regular folks don't help them get the message out?

Why I asked for ideas...

Do you think th e Dems have been educating people enough on this?

Is it just to improve the messaging, or wait for the s*** to hit the fan?

Warren is doing a great job on keeping economic justice front and center..as Bernie always has. But the specific travesty of the tax cuts and deficit, and how they prop up his economy at the expense of our children's futures ...honestly, I dont even understand (nor can explain in a coherent sound bite) the mechanism myself!

But no one seems to be able to come up with anything they should be doing additionally or differently.

The more accurate statement may be that the public is not being educated enough, but to blame the Democrats for that is unfair if you can't figure out an alternative. Maybe there isn't one.

On that note, it's frustrating to listen to journalists criticize the Democrats for not getting their message out when it's the media's responsibility to communicate information to the public. The Democrats are talking and talking and talking and messaging and messaging and messaging, but if that doesn't get communicated to the public - if the people responsible for the news aren't doing their part - that's not all on the Democrats.

I'm not saying the Democrats can't do a better job - I'm just trying to figure out what they could be doing differently, a question no one seems to be able to answer.

But we each have a role to play as well. We can help communicate on the ground by sharing information with our friends and neighbors and colleagues locally, something I suspect very few people do. That requires more than chatting online and retweeting articles. That takes work and direct interaction with people in our communities.

But sitting back and waiting for Democratic leadership to do all the messaging for us and then criticizing them when we don't think they're doing it right gets us nowhere
