I think that the proper word is 'kakistocracy' (a system of government that is run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous citizens).

(10,167 posts)landed a job as White House Communications Director, then as chief communications officer and executive vice president for FOX, for any reason other than her emminent qualifications? Some cynics might say it was because Hope was so good at steam pressing Trump's suit and pants as he wore them, but I certainly don't believe that.

let's trash the girls!, especially the pretty ones -- they're easy targets, and much more "morally challenged" than the Trump boys, anyway, right?

(507 posts)How these folks who ignored Congressional Subpoena's would ultimately be handled. Jailed, slap on the wrist, Arrested, but turned loose within minutes, only gaining time in front of the tv cameras?
But as Mr Tiedrich has stated, no POC have so far been subpoenaed, but then again, I'm talking about 45's staff, besides Omarosa, that could never occur.

(18,486 posts)Who better to call out white privilege than another white person, man or woman?
whathehell
(29,067 posts)so the "better" person to call out a 'privileged white woman' is actually another white woman, not a 'privileged white man'..
His own internalized sexism may distort his viewpoint, and he's already got his work cut out for him with his own group.
StarfishSaver
(18,486 posts)You should do some research to disabuse yourself of this false notion.
White people of any gender should call out other white people of any gender when obnoxiously exploit their white privilege they display white privilege.
whathehell
(29,067 posts)That's a fact, and I can document it -- Can you do the same with your assertion? -- I doubt it, but I invite you to try.

(18,486 posts)Yes, the Constitution was amended to guarantee a black man's right to vote 55 years before it was amended to guarantee women's right to vote.
But here's the thing ...
Once women got the right to vote, white women were able to vote immediately, without restrictions or impediments. They did not have to fight for the next 100 years to actually exercise that right, they didn't have to have an Act of Congress passed in order for them to be able to vote and they weren't lynched, beaten, forced to take literacy tests, pay poll taxes, run of town when they tried to register and endure countless other indignities and threats to their lives. Black men and black women did.
In fact, black men and women are STILL fighting for that right that white women take for granted.

(29,067 posts)FIFTY FIVE Years, is a very LONG Time to excercise a right denied to another supposedly "privileged' group, geographic 'impediments' notwithstanding.
StarfishSaver
(18,486 posts)You mean Jim Crow, lynchings, beatings, torture, firebombings, and the like?
No big whoop, I guess. Especially since black people could have just moved somewhere else to get around those "geographic impediments."
If you're joking, it's not funny. If you're serious, I feel sorry for you.
Either way, I'm not going to waste any more of my time discussing this with you.
whathehell
(29,067 posts)My use of the word "geographic" refers to the Jim Crow assaults on the voting rights of the AA community in the South.

(343 posts)I hate those interviews with "Trump voters" - they are always asked inane questions and they come back with nonsense about supporting Trump as President or how great the economy is. How about asking them what would happen if THEY ignored a subpoena?
Well, they would be arrested and thrown in jail. But Trump and his cronies can ignore whatever law they want. So it's one standard for them, another for everybody else. How about asking Trump voters if THAT is OK?

(81,238 posts)I still think trump fancies making her a conquest. He likes having attractive women around him because it probably makes him feel virile. And he fancies taking them to bed. Especially her.
The first time I got a look at her, what crossed my mind was "he wants to ball her. Maybe hasn't had the opportunity, but I bet he sure wants to."
