He is 74. He virtually gave up the last 2 years. He has provided a very clear roadmap.
Congress needs to pick up and carry the ball now.

(39,374 posts)Warren called his report an impeachment referral the day after she read it. That was two months ago. There has been nothing new in the interim from Mueller and there was nothing new today. It was an impeachment referral then and its an impeachment referral now. Mueller did his job, now its up to others.

Further, several investigations are underway, the House can use evidence uncovered in the probe when Barr is forced to release it, and embedded FBI agents took the counterintelligence ballabout which, what happened to it, the House undoubtedly will be looking into.

(2,218 posts)that people keep insisting he say things, when everything he would say is in the report.
It's like asking to be spoonfed.
If you can read, you will know what he thinks about the situation.
What people really want him to say is what HE would do. He isn't going to say that, and he has said why, over and over.
He's giving you the facts, draw your own conclusions. Evidently that is too damned much work for a lot of people.

(18,486 posts)But now people are insisting that he go on TV and say it again so that no one has to actually read the report.
Maybe you should just spend his retirement years visiting us in our homes to discuss it with us personally...

(7,521 posts)And agreeing with almost a thousand prosecutors that trump should be impeached would just wear this poor man out. Good grief.
Ever hear of Samuel Whittemore? He was 78 when he fought in the Revolutionary War and suffered numerous injuries. Took on a British regiment by himself, killed some, was shot in the face and bayonetted, but survived. But poor little Bobby Mueller has just suffered so much, we can't expect him to come to the aid of his country when our democracy is under attack by sitting in a chair and giving his opinion about the person he knows is a danger to our democracy.

He doesn't deserve to be treated with such disrespect. He has spent his whole life in service to this country. And he came from wealth. He didn't have to live the life he chose.

(7,521 posts)He has more left to do and if he wasn't able to perform his task he shouldn't have accepted the job. Sometiems being a patriot requires doing above and beyond, especially when our democracy is at stake. Testifying honestly before Congress is not some gargantuan task as you make it out to be.
