His investigation reminds me of the TV series Lost. He did a good job until the final episode. The ending was a big disappointment and it has left everyone, LOST.

(37,748 posts)Other than prophets, not knowing what is going to happen next is the natural state of things. Being lost is simply ignorance of what's happening in the here and now rather than being unaware of what will happen. I think you're confusing the two for the sake of an unsupported premise.
Also, I really liked The End, parts I & II. It wrapped up everything in the series rather nicely to my own satisfaction, and checked every box I wanted checked.

I've read all of Part I and most of Part II. As soon as I read in the summary of Part I that "the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in their election interference activities", I knew we were fucked. The only way we were going to get some republicans to join us is if the investigation proved that a conspiracy occurred. Hell, later on in the report they even state that the Russians wanted Trump elected, Trump wanted Trump elected but it appears they were working in parallel not in cooperation (I'm paraphrasing here).
Without the smoking gun of a conspiracy the repukes are not going to convict in the senate and I don't think congressional hearings will be able to find anything more about conspiracy than Mueller did. Our only hope is to vote him out in 2020.
