Anyone need a laugh at Trump's expense?

@LucyCarrDesigns

My elderly neighbor took a fall today - he’s fine, thankfully - but when I saw the EMTs arrive, I ran over to see if I could help. When they asked him who the President was, my smart, funny, kick-ass 76 year old neighbor said: “still Putin right?”

told me that they have stopped asking that question in the ER because it's making peoples' blood pressure rise too high.

It's bad for many reasons. You're not there to test civic awareness.

The worst aspect, though, is that a correct answer isn't compelling evidence that the patient is really alert and oriented, and an incorrect answer isn't compelling evidence that the patient is not.

18. you mainly focus on being alert and oriented with respect to person, time, and place.

so "what is your name", "what day is it", and "do you know where you are" are the 3 basic questions.

again, no one set of questions is perfect. for instance, plenty of people who don't have day jobs or who aren't on a strict weekly schedule might get the day wrong without it meaning anything medically. "what month is it" is sometimes better.

but the point is you want to focus on things immediately relevant to the patient, things they should know if there wasn't anything adverse going on health-wise.

who the current president is doesn't qualify for a depressingly large portion of the country.

My sister about her things in life that cause her stress. I piped up fat Donnie’s name and the doctor said, “please don’t say his name it causes me stress”. She said a lot of her patients complain that fat Donnie’s presidency is affecting them mentally. One lady said she hopes she had dementia to forget he is president as a joke! The doctor said being humorous is something she looks at as a marker someone does not have advanced dementia.

My FIL said, Al Gore.

The doc was writing all these notes. I jumped in to explain he hates George war bush, it’s OK.

Sometimes a fall is not as painful as the harsh reality of remembering who our president is.
