(How could he win? He's distancing himself from all the positive things he has ever done! What's left? Policies that have either failed, would fail or are unpopular.)
The problem is, once Obama has won 52:47 (or so), there has to be a fall guy. That how extremists operate: They need somebody to point at and to hate.
Will it be Obama and his outrageous, vicious campaign of talking about stuff that shouldn't be talked about?
Will it be Romney's lack of charisma?
Will it be somebody from Romney's campaign? ("His gaffe cost us the election!"
Will it be unproven, massive voter-fraud? (Cue Fox News: "Some people say, the Obama-campaign distributed fake IDs. We have Karl Rove and Sarah Palin with us for discussion."
Will it be unproven, massive election-fraud? (Cue Rush Limbaugh: "Who organized the voting? The government! And Obama is the government!"
Will it be the hurricane during the convention? ("Without the hurricane we would have energized much more voters!"

(290 posts)Whatever we hear, it will be for sure all of President Obama's doing in their minds. Never mind that their insincere, falsehoods, superiority complexes, the rich are better than you attitudes, and far left ideals turned most Americans off.
The most important thing besides Romney/Ryan losing is the hope that people vote out their tea party representative in Congress (or Senate). The only time their constituents were important to them was at election time. They were paid to do a job representing their constituents, but instead spent all their time trying to "convert/take over" the Republican party and stone wall any Democratic effort even when they technically agreed with it.
As long as they are Congress (or Senate), I don't see any chance that President Obama can improve the economy in his second term. If the DO-NOTHING Congress were to have worked on even half of the President's proposal (Jobs Bill, etc.), we would be all doing better by now.
Tea Party, Mike Lee, has made his reputation (during his first year), embarrassing the entire state by saying publicly, he was voting "NO" on everything President Obama laid out regardless if he agreed with the selection or idea. He was really proud of his statement. Once again, the same will happen with Mia Love (running against incumbent Democrat Jim Matheson) who is getting backing, not locally but the big boys. She will not only be the first Republican African female in Congress, but she is a Tea Party advocate. The very things that helped her through her life, she has stated she will work to eliminate such as farm subsidies, student loans, welfare assistance, etc. I didn't vote for Mike Lee, nor will I vote for Mia Love. Do we really want another 4 years of Tea Party rhetoric and shenanigans?

(5,158 posts)the so-called "liberal" media. Despite the reality that the media overwhelmingly favors the right.
In reality, their loss will be due to the constant war on women they have been raging, and the fact that Romney can't connect with the average American who is struggling paycheck-to-paycheck to pay their bills.

Yes the agency that collected no ballots and counted no votes stole it for the unelected fraud president....!

(20,166 posts)With all the money flowing into his campaign from very powerful interests thanks to Citizens United and with sleazeball Karl Rove working behind the scenes, I am not 100% certain that Romney won't somehow "win" the election a la Bush in 2000. Not twisting any pearls here, just looking at what's going on beyond the polls and not liking what I see.
