2016: Obama's America...

I'm having a facebook war on the "facts" this movie is based on. It all started over the typical Republican response... because I "liked" the the Huffington Post article that fact checks this movie, obviously I am not open to other people's opinions.

Huff Post article - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/28/2016-obama-america-fact-check_n_1835710.html?fb_action_ids=3457785369408&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%7B%223457785369408%22%3A10151181402371346%7D&action_type_map=%7B%223457785369408%22%3A%22og.likes%22%7D&action_ref_map=[]

I basically told him that the book this movie is based on has been largely discredited and went on to say that "The reason this movie and those in this realm annoy me are the blatant lies and disinformation it brings up. I don't mind other people's opinions if they can prove what they are saying. The whole time Obama has been in office, the right has wanted to paint him as nefarious, foreign, muslim, mysterious, and the "other" and what shred of proof have they come up with to prove these assertions? This movie is just tapping into that particular vein of prejudice."

I know that last statement will ignite a shit storm of ire from my righty friends and relatives. Has anyone else had a similar conversation or have any other thoughts on this movie that I can bring up?
