So the opposition to SHITLER's tanks on July 4 is being framed as wrecking the streets. No.
We don't do tanks because of one of our bedrock principles that the CIVILIAN concept overrules the military.

Please tell me theres no live ammo!

If I could I would go stand there by myself and let the world watch them do whatever atrocity they'll do to me..
I'm old. I'm sick. Within a few months I'll be burying my husband. I'd be the perfect candidate if the timing was different.
I don't want anyone else to do that. No one should get hurt. But I would.

(51,636 posts)and have told friends and family that right before I knew I was going to die I would volunteer to put my life on the line to defend our democracy, why not, right? What have I got to lose?

(10,064 posts)A boring expensive unnecessary display. You can see non-moving tanks at many war and armed services museums and parks.
I want video of the tanks being trucked in and staged for Trump's ego.

Dont underestimate what Trump is doin here. He showin us he can command the military to mobilize in our streets without question or oversight.
Expect to see more displays of military control, especially if he loses in November 2020.

That is marked as the end of Roman democracy.

1776 to 2019... we had a good run at a democratic republic... but it is ending.

Trump is hardly the cause. He is just the most recent in a long line of effects. He isn't a warning that we're a about to fall - He's a example of how far we have fallen.
Case in point, see our highly militarized police. Calling military gear surplus and slapping a new coat of paint on it doesn't suddenly make military issue gear appropriate for use against civilians, no matter how much people argue for it.

No wonder he likes hanging with Kim Jong Un so much. They are truly kindred spirits, even if Kim sees through Trump far more than Trump sees through Kim.
Their type was portrayed in this film almost 50 years ago:
