2. His PR people probably pitched the story to the Times w/ that headline as the subject line

of the email containing the pitch.

And, the Times being the Times, ran it as the campaign wanted it ran. I love the paper, and read it every day, but it's clear that it tiptoes around Trump. It completely ignored the rape allegation until it was called to task. I think they do this to have a modicum of access to the administration (even though Trump and Trash broadcasts lies constantly. There's no point in having access.).
