Speculation: Was the Census Citizenship question the 'emergency' that brought Pence back to WH?

Given Trump all but gave away any possibility of a legal defense in the Maryland court with his tweet yesterday that clearly stated a goal to identify "illegal" immigrants and not merely establish citizenship status:

(Trump saying last night " we need to know if people are citizens or illegals" made any defense even more impossible. Didn't it?)

I doubt it. I think something else made him reverse course. LonePirate Jul 2019 #1

They gerrymandered and rigged elections without the Census in the past. They will do it again. I suspect it was something else, perhaps something with that Soviet-style parade on Thursday or maybe something else.

I think there is something else going on with the Census, though. They are going to manipulate those numbers somehow.

thereby unleashing a rolling on the floor, kicking, screaming, and holding his breath until he turned blue hissy-fit.

But, yeah, citizenship question works, too.

this is beginning to look like they are covering up something in their own incredibly incompetent way.

So far speculation ranges from he wasn't on the plane to a possible outbreak of war.
I think he was headed up to stop busing in NH and someone told him it was summer and the kids aren't in school.

anything Pence would be called back for, except something was wrong with trump. If he never left it could be something wrong with Pence.

Only time will tell.
