Are we REALLY discussing whether or not we---Americans!---should provide medical care

to men, women and children who arrive at our border injured or ill?

What happened to our invitation to "those yearning to breathe free"?

Where is that "shining city on a hill"?

And, you evangelical assholes, how does your religion say we should treat "the least of these"?

it isn't just about the new arrivals, it's also about the ones who have been here for years working at Trump properties, paying taxes and not getting the benefits.

"Democrats don't want humans to die of neglect" seems like a defensible position

They have revived the whole "bleeding heart liberal" meme.

It's the bullying mentality.

10. So, is this your main concern about the plight of the asylum seekers?

that if we take proper care of them and give them humane treatment it just might be used against us? Wow. That should never be our main concern.

into a plus, and endangering/killing innocent people into a political minus

then we don't deserve to "win". Not to mention the minuscule amount of courage it would take to make this point.

against us".

We believe global climate change is an existential threat and they "use that against us".

We believe that women have the right to control their own health care decisions, that the government should keep its nose out of who we love and how we love them and that the 2nd Amendment does not entitle us to own and carry military assault weapons with high capacity magazines. And, they "use" each of those stances "against us".

Should we play it safe and soft-pedal those issues also?

If people are not given medical treatment when ill, we risk outbreaks of everything from flu to tuberculosis to ebola. The bigots don't seem to be bothered by the suffering of migrants, but maybe the suffering of their kid will get their attention when they catch a serious illness. Disease doesn't discriminate by using proof of citizenship.

Whether is is humanitarian or not, don't the RW idiots get a clue on what could be coming into the general population if we do not provide medical treatment? Guess not...

There is a special place in hell for people who object to this and even a worse place in hell for those who actively prevent the care.
