this is so important! I keep hearing that we should be able to afford providing essential services when the reality is we ARE ALREADY PAYING THIS BILL! The money is being squirreled away by for profit prison/detention companies. Follow the goddamn money! Our government is being defrauded by corporations promising to provide services to detainees that they are not providing. I submit that the maladministration appears to be fine with this but this corruption is widespread. Follow the money.

Even today, $750 buys a good hotel room, plenty of food and drinks if people want that, and then there is money left over.

I just don't see $750 per person per day for people packed into cages. Somewhere along the line a Trump family member or associate is getting a big kickback. Corruption on a breathtaking level.
