If all Epstein wanted was to indulge his own perversion, he could have done that much, much less conspicuously.
Those girls were given out like party favors to the VIP's that Epstein entertained. I have to think the purpose of that was to cultivate influence over the VIP's, by simultaneously currying favor with them and gaining kompromat on them.

at kompromat. I think it was kompromat. He was partners with Robert Maxwell and Semion Mogilovech; remember when Robert fell off his yacht and died recently. Those guys don't fuck around. Epstein has no visible means of support and yet is fabulously wealthy. I'm sure he laundered money too.
