(17,995 posts)Both Trump and Epstein for years.
I am on the 18th page of James Pattersons book and it is already sickening.
They had to bring in 2 or 3 girls a day and the first thing I saw when I flipped through the book was Trump.

(5,546 posts)Imagine if you will, the bastard child of a hedge fund crossed with a ponzy scheme crossed with a blackmail scheme.
A hedge fund that takes in money from wealthy individuals and provides certain "perks" as a client benefit.
But it turns out the hedge fund is actually a ponzi scheme and does not actually make any money for the clients.
So the clients lose their investments. But they can't really complain for fear of being exposed for the extracurricular activity that went with it. So they swallow their losses and the ponzi scheme is allowed to continue much longer than it would otherwise.

(5,546 posts)I actually don't think this theory is all that outlandish. I could actually see it happen rather organically at first.
There are plenty of young arrogant assholes hanging around wall street who think they can make money out of thin air. One comes along who charms a few big spenders and suddenly he has the street cred to take in more. Meanwhile, he gets too distracted with his hobby to actually make money. By the time the investors come looking for returns, he makes excuses and offers them access to underage harem to mollify them. About the time a typical ponzi scheme would implode, the mutual criminality of the endeavor has them keeping quiet.
Not so much a diabolical scheme as a con-man staying just ahead of his lies.
But to quote Scooby Doo...he could have gotten away with it if it weren't for those kids. The young women were the only participants that they didn't control. Ultimately, they will bring him down.
