Why aren't there already sufficient votes for impeachment ?
How can any of these members NOT feel that there is sufficient cause for impeachment ?

1. Because we need, I think 2/3 of the senate. And

at this point, even if a tape surfaces of Trump violently raping that poor 13 yr old, we still won't have the votes. A thought that 2 yrs ago would have been unbelievable.

only conviction.

IMO if there are grounds for impeachment, then it is an obligation, not a choice to hold impeachment hearings.

and 2/3 of the senate would not vote against him.

but if our congressmen hold coherent hearings and lay out the case, we cold have this thing in the senate by next summer. trumps rambling speeches and deranged tweets would torpedo him in the election.

if we allow the hearings to dissolve into no show witnesses with no consequence, trump is assured of another term.
