GOP Ready to Drive Off a Cliff on Obamacare

I honestly don't get it. To disenfranchise so many millions of people, to hurt them, for what? Are profits for their donors so much more important than their constituents? And for the gop to do this as a unit? Are they all so heartless?

GOP Ready to Drive Off a Cliff on Obamacare
July 14, 2019 at 7:29 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

“Republicans have no real plan to establish a new health care system if the courts strike down the Affordable Care Act before the 2020 election. But plenty of them are rooting for its demise anyway — even if it means plunging the GOP into a debate that splits the party and leaves them politically vulnerable,” Politico reports.

“After a decade of trying to gut Obamacare, Republicans may finally get their wish thanks to a Trump administration-backed lawsuit. Its success would cause chaos not only in the insurance markets but on Capitol Hill. And Republican senators largely welcome it — even if they don’t know what comes next.”

Do they not remember how badly we beat them in the last midterms? The issue was healthcare and we took them to the cleaners!

WE TOOK BACK THE HOUSE OVER HEALTHCARE!

if they succeed in gutting it and lose their health benefits because of their vote they will realize that they were the ones who took their own health care away?

A bunch of stupid fucks!

ACA is based on Romneycare, devised by a Republican governor

Which was introduced in the hopes of getting bipartisan support. Instead, the GOP voted against what was essentially Romneycare and ever since have refused to do anything to fix the flaws and everything to stop people from getting healthcare coverage.

If I were going from a purely political view I would hope the GOP does stop the ACA this year and that people lose their coverage as of January 1, 2020. By November 2020 they would fully understand that the GOP does not want people to have healthcare coverage and maybe then the idiots would vote for the party that would watch out for them.

But too many people would suffer so I don't wish that at all.

his supporters suffered from him gutting ACA they would still support him. All he would say is that the democrats are responsible for them losing their healthcare and they would eat it up.

Any other source is "fake news" or propaganda

Since we know that Faux will blame anything that goes wrong on the Democrats, they would take it as gospel that any problems with getting healthcare were caused by our party.

We do NOT discuss politics - ever. It's the only way I can have any conversation with them at all.

The entire purpose of the Trump Administration is to erase the Obama Administration from the history books.

They don't care who gets hurt, what businesses collapse, anything. The ONLY thing that matters to them is, if Barack Obama's name is in any way attached to it, they want to get rid of it.

The next Democratic president is going to have to do the same thing with the laws Trump left behind, but that's different: Trump is doing real damage to this country. Obama just presidented while black, and they hate that.
