Hey, Republicans

You didn’t stand up to Trump when he bragged about grabbing women by the pussy.

You didn’t stand up to Trump when he lied to the American people over 11,000 times – and counting.

You didn’t stand up to Trump when he appointed inept, inexperienced cronies to his cabinet and other positions of power.

You didn’t stand up to Trump when he talked about imprisoning his political enemies.

You didn’t stand up to Trump when he insulted our allies.

You didn’t stand up to Trump when he labelled Mexicans as rapists, Muslims as terrorists, and brown/black people as being from ‘shithole countries’.

You didn’t stand up to Trump when he stated that the noise of wind turbines causes cancer, when he insisted that climate change is a hoax – or even when he recently declared that the Continental Army won our independence by shutting down the airports in 1775.

You didn’t stand up to Trump when he stood on a stage in Helsinki and took Putin’s ‘word for it’ with respect to his attack on our elections, despite the overwhelming evidence gathered by our own intelligence agencies that he had done exactly that.

You didn’t even stand up to Trump when he took children away from their parents at the border, and when he locked those innocent children in filthy cages like rabid animals.

And now you won’t stand up to Trump as he makes statements that are blatantly, in-your-face racist – as though any further proof of his racism was necessary, given his previous remarks and his well-known personal history.

Tonight I heard Representative Will Hurd (R – Texas) state that Trump’s tweets attacking Democratic congresswomen were racist and xenophobic, and expressed the fear that the Republican party would heretofore be seen as the party that represents such un-American ideals.

Well, guess what, Mr. Hurd – that horse left the barn the day the Orange Anus was elected by your party, and you collectively decided to NEVER stand up to him– no matter what he said, no matter what he did, no matter how obvious his corruption was.

The Republican party is now – and always will be – the party of racists, bigots, white supremacists, and KKK adherents. That IS your party – and if you didn’t want to be identified as such, your party members had the chance to speak up against it for over two years now.

But you chose to remain silent – and that shall be your ultimate undoing.

To paraphrase your “pResident”, “When the Republicans send their people, they’re not sending their best.”

More to the point, when the Republicans sent a bloviating, lying idiot who embraces our nation’s enemies to the Oval Office, they told us who they are. The fact that they are also ignorant racists comes as no surprise.

THIS is what Republicans voted for; THIS is what you elected, THIS is what you now own. There is no going back.

So the next time you want to talk about ‘those spineless Democrats’, take a look in the nearest mirror. If you can’t stand up to a flimsy excuse for a human being like Trump, you are obviously incapable of standing up for anything.

History will not be kind to them, any of them. I’m old and just hope I live long enough to watch it.

after Johnson signed the Equal Rights Act into law. Language like States rights means keeping minorities in their place. Traditional values translates into Jim Crow laws. Law and order means keep the "coloreds" in their place, and so on.
Trump just states their bigotry in plain English. He's empowered the short peckered Yahoos to brag about their ignorance and bigotry. He's looted the Treasury to repay Putin loans.
All of his hires have the same traits, they're weak and compromised. This orange pus bag has lowered standards to lows not seen in any civilized nation. And he's vilified education to appeal to the illiterate cretins and trolls that comprise the majority of his base. Normal people do not support Nazis.
