General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsAny day we are talking about Trump is a day he wins.
Instead of talking about the Dem candidates or the important issues they are trying to call to our attention, we are talking about one more stupid thing that HE has said! See how hes playing the game? He will keep it up every day until the election. Count on it.
Best thing the media could do would be to ignore it. But hes too good at this; he makes it too good to resist.
But be aware of what hes doing and look for the thing hes trying to distract us from and talk about that instead!

(7,003 posts)>>This is the president who directs policy that affects over 300 million citizens.
His rhetoric matters because it reinforces every bigoted notion squirming through the minds and souls of his ever-devolving base.
Every public evacuation of his face bowel weaponizes another hate-addled minion.
Yes its uncomfortable, yes its exhausting. But we must continue to shed a light on his foulness--because his supporters and recently regretful voters, that WE personally know, ignore it.

Ignoring him is the worst possible thing we could do. Evil has NEVER, NOT ONCE, IN ALL OF HUMAN HISTORY, gone away on its own. The more we talk about it as a society, the more opposition there will be.

(17,276 posts)What Im saying is dont let him win the day by allowing him to distract us with the latest outrageous tweet.
There needs to by more calling out of evil deeds like with the migrants, the environment, anything destructive he does. Just reacting to his foul mouth isnt addressing the more urgent stuff.
