Yesterday was the day "racist" officially became the new "fake news".

Do you remember where the term "fake news" even comes from?
The mainstream-media used the term in early 2016 to describe the online conspiracy-theorists and rumor-peddlers who boosted Trump. And then those very same dirt-mongers turned around and accused the mainstream-media of being the "fake news".



The day before yesterday, Trump tweeted that US-born women of color should leave the US and go back to where they came from. Which is a textbook-example of racism.

So, how did the Trumpers react to accusations that they did something racist? Same with "fake news": They muddied the waters by turning the word "racist" from a specific term into a meaningless catch-all insult.



"Liberal" no longer means liberal.
"Fake news" no longer means fake news.
"Racist" no longer means racist.

Now that's some newspeak.
