Is he a never Trumper? His photo looks so much like John Roberts of Fox News, I always confuse the two.

the SOTU? Just saw it in this thread.
Nevermind, just read the whole thing, not him. I actually thought that was Kevin McCarthy for some reason.

In September 2009, Wilson interrupted a speech by U.S. President Barack Obama to the joint session of Congress by shouting "You lie!".[3] The incident resulted in a reprimand by the House of Representatives.

or at least not as right wing leaning since Tammy Duckworth who is half asian did beat him.

although part of the reason for the change was redistricting which changed the makeup and became more favorable to democrats.

also there are people like W Bush who are conservative and right wing leaning on most things but they tend to be more accepting of diversity. Bush did embrace Muslims after 9/11 and was always ok with immigration .

also he isn't in office anymore so he doesn't really have to fear being primaried .

But Joe Walsh was a tea party jerk, just like Jordan, Meadows, Scalise and a few more. Toothless yipping dogs now.

He's really cleaned his act up the past several years.

And, YES, it is THAT Joe Walsh of The Eagles that is quoted in the original post.

The original tweet is from that other Joe Walsh from the Dark Side.

Joe Walsh of The Eagles did say he was running for president for awhile back in the 80's. It was a running joke at their concerts.

These guys who say "we just believe in different Americas" are no worse than flat out telling her to go back to where she came from. They just have to get in that dig (believing in two kinds of Americas) before pretending to defend her right of free speech.

McCain kind of did that when he appeared to defend Obama at that Town Hall when that idiot woman called him a Muslim. McCain 'defended' Obama and said he was a good man but they just had different ideas for America. Them vs Us - that's the message they get across.

Never Trumpers may hate Trump like we do but they are still Republicans and I've learned two things about conservatives over the years and especially Trump supporters. #1 - you really can't fix stupid and #2 - you cannot reason with ignorance.

I like when others pile on Trump but this Walsh fellow is a dotard. My opinion only but I trust none of them!!!

after all they are running against each other.

saying you have different ideas for same things is not the same as what trump is doing.

McCain said Obama was a good man who loved this country and wanted to do good. he made clear the difference was on policy. it's what the 4 woman said yesterday.

but, he's still a pro-gun conservative - I had a dispute with him on Twitter last year when he mentioned that he would prefer to live n Texas with their permissive gun laws versus Connecticut (where I live) with strict gun laws.

So, I quoted him some statistics on Connecticut having much lower crime rates and gun crime rates and said I'd prefer my safe state with fewer guns. I think he responded with the crime rates in Hartford... which are very high. But, my response is that Hartford is a city of 125,000 people on 18 square miles of land. Houston, by comparison, is 2.3 million people on over 600 square miles, and I bet I could have carved out 18 square mile sections of Houston to find areas with higher crime rates. No further response.
