World Leaders Tear Trump To Shreds For Spewing 1950s Racism
Republicans might be silent in the wake of Donald Trumps new racist attacks on four congresswomen of color, but world leaders have quickly come together to denounce them.
According to The Washington Post, politicians from across the globe are slamming Trump for his 1950s racism.
British Prime Minister Theresa May might be just days away from leaving office, but she took time out of her day to criticize Trump.
Another British politician took to Twitter to condemn Trumps bigotry, calling it 1950s racism straight from the White House.

The mayor of London and one of Trumps most outspoken critics, Sadiq Khan, tore into Trump, too.
Trump is an international disgrace
From the UK and Canada to Germany and Belgium, the advanced world stepped up and condemned racism something the Republican Party here at home has shamefully failed to do.
No matter which party held the White House, the United States has historically been seen as the moral authority around the world a country that has strived to advocate for equality.
With a racist in the White House and a GOP unwilling to put country over party, the United States no longer has that authority, and other world leaders are stepping up to fill that moral leadership void.

(73 posts)I don't get it but they lap this stuff up. It's a way to energize his base. Pure and simple. They love simple soundbites that they can repeat over and over again without worrying about facts or logic.

(82,849 posts)I really want to stay on this subject for a while. This novelty cigar of a distraction blew up in Trump's insipid face, and I want the news cycle to concentrate on his soot-smeared visage for a while. Keep calling out the racism; it seems to be a label that actually bothers his base. They don't mind pussy-grabbing or deplorable, but they sure hate concentration camps and being called racist. It also has the advantage of being 100% true. Anyone can see it, and people of integrity will call it what it is. People of no integrity will deny, deflect, and dissemble. They should be ignored.

(22,124 posts)and this is a part of America I don't want to ever support or reach out to. Never. I and all of us will stomp their asses (pardon my language) into the ground come Nov 2020, when they see once and for all what we stand for and mean.
Why hasn't twitter take down the offending racist account(s)?

(9,895 posts)Conway replied that he should be talking about them because were sick and tired of many people in this country who are being represented by Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (R-MI).
They represent a dark underbelly in this country of people who are not respecting our troops, are not giving them the resources and respect that they deserve, she fumed. Were tired of people not kneeling for the flag out of disrespect. Were tired of some of these women palling around with terrorists!
Just try to unpack that and get your head around the bigotry and hate it conceals...
were sick and tired of many people in this country
Oh, believe me, we KNOW that Republicans are sick of people in this country....one's that won't EVER vote for them? They try to deny them their very rights to vote...one's that oppose their faux-moralism and desire to control women's bodies? They propose hideous legislation and enforce invasion molestations of patients by unwilling doctors (see Missouri as case in point for this atrocity)...migrants and immigrants and asylum seekers who might object to being referred to as 'invaders', 'rapists and murderers', 'not welcome', etc.? Lock THEM up (since they failed abysmally to 'lock her up' I guess).
"...not respecting our troops..."
HUH? Where the everloving fuck did she come up with THAT lame ass position?
"...not giving them the resources and respect they deserve."
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? This country is awash in constant military ceremonies at baseball, football, hockey and other sports' games. There are constant reminders to "support the troops" and the military budget is an obscene percentage of the total budget already. Besides that, NOT ONE OF THE FOUR Congresswomen Trump attacked (and is STILL on about today in day 3 of this national embarrassment) said ANYTHING at all to disparage the military AT ALL...
Were tired of people not kneeling for the flag out of disrespect."
I am going to ASSUME this is either a mis-quote or she mis-spoke and meant the OPPOSITE, because the last time I checked, the standard "honor America" is to rise and remove one's hat (anything beyond that is NOT specified as 'respecting the flag' to anyone but Trump and his bizarre predilection for molesting innocent flags near by his girth).
An aside - this is just more Trump playbook 101 when he is in a bind....double down on racism and faux-patriotism and hope the dupes remain unfazed by it. First it was NFL players, then it was USWNT player Megan Rapinoe and now its (apparently) Democratic congresswomen and/or Democrats in general?
"Were tired of some of these women palling around with terrorists!
Much like the caveat that anyone who resorts to Hitler comparisons first loses the argument, I believe that anyone who EVER recites Sarah Palin one-liners loses everything forever - the argument, credibility, standing as a moral person...you name it!

Don't you love how those who never raised their hand to serve are so damned concerned with what they know nothing about?
This racism is widespread in all of our military branches and it starts with a lack of leadership at the top.
