The initial gag order was subjective, to some extent, but it would have been appealed as overbroad if it was a complete gag, as he has now.

The appropriate response to him nibbling around the edges and saying he wasn’t “really” violating it, is to then proceed to a complete gag. If the response was to lock him up, her would have instantly gone up on appeal.

With this, the court had first issued a measured order, he monkeyed around with it, and the court has proceeded to a broader order.

If he violates this one, there is no further “measured” response the court can have, and the picture on appeal does not look anywhere near as good for him.

We now return to your regular slander of Judge Amy Berman Jackson by people who are primarily interested in undermining respect for the rule of law.

Hence, your premise that an emotional, visceral reaction to the ruling is equivalent in both form and format to a formal position is at best, laughable if merely pretense... and thoroughly irrational if your assertions are in fact, serious.

Slanderous, indeed.

Maybe Barr is pressuring them?

Or, they feel that revocation of bail is more likely to trigger a Trump pardon?

Stone is a professional troll. His whole shtick to get people to over-react. An over-reaction from the judge is grounds for appeal. Stone knows that, and his lawyers know it, which is why he keeps crossing the line. The prosecution knows what's going on. And so does the judge
