Doug Collins just called for Pelosi's remarks about Trump to be stricken from the record

"Point of order"...she said his comments were disgusting and racist and Collins interrupted as she finished, said that she could not characterize Trump, and apparently this is all being decided before / if they vote on it. My understanding is that if Collins gets his way, there will be NO vote.

It all happened pretty quickly so if anything I wrote needs correction, please do so.

I really think we need to dwell on this for a while. Which is to say more than one or two news cycles. I think Trump really stepped in it this time, and his minions are working overtime trying to deflect and diminish his racist tweets. That tells me they don't much care for the conversation. McConnell has even gone so far as to say that everyone needs to tone down the rhetoric. Which is to say, everyone quit talking about Trump's racist tweets, but Trump can keep making racist tweets.

Let's stop here for a while, like in a game of Monopoly when you decide to stay in jail for a few throws to avoid hitting your opponent's hotel on St. James Place.
