Republicans challenge comments as violating House rules.

Pelosi says she cleared language with House Parliamentarian.

Debate has now stalled over Republican motion to strike them.

Not that I disagree with what you wrote.

They are going to vote on whether Nancy Pelosi calling the president a racist is allowable in the lead up to the vote on whether to censure the president for being a racist?!?

Somehow I think the democrats might win that vote. I hope.

Surreal doesn’t begin to describe it. Disfunctional would be charitable.

Do recall Senator Joe McCarthy making false statements about fellow Senators on the Senate floor during his Reign of Terror and they are in the Congressional Record as for everyone to see and read yet today.

We are seeing the new McCarthyism being played out in real time. Just exchange the word Commie for good back to where you came from.

Much of the consternation among Democrats on the floor seems to be that there is a rule that prevents calling someone a racist. Lots of chatter between the parliamentarians office and Dems about this.
