WTF is it with George Conway?
I get that it is possible to have friends who are to the right of center. When you get together you just don't talk politics.
Or it's possible to have friends who a evangelical Christians. Again, another topic to stay away from.
But when your wife is Kelly Ann Conway, and her job is senior sychophant, how can you go home at night without wretching?
I probably shouldn't care, and mods can lock/delete the post if they want. But, really, WTF?

(40,212 posts)There are lots of democrat/republican marriages. I think Trump makes it a lot harder.
These two, however, take it to a whole new level.
A marriage takes respect. Where could anyone find any respect for Kellyanne Conway?

(43,182 posts)Basically trying to make sense of it all is impossible, you don't know what the truth is, and you end up giving up in frustration.
My guess: His anti-Trump messages are meant as a counterbalance to Kellyanne's exaggerated pro-Trump pronouncements, so in the end, things get cancelled out and Kellyanne is spared the worst of the vitriol laid upon the other administration members.
I don't think it will work, but it is a gambit.
If nothing more, George does provide some good soundbites, even if I don't really trust him.

(11,738 posts)I don't see why it would get locked. It isn't about looks or some immutable characteristic of a marginalized person. It is about what she says and does.
Perhaps it says something about me, but I agree that I would not be able to have any kind of meaningful relationship with someone whose views are so different from mine, whose behavior that I found so abhorrent.
I mean, George Conway maybe dislikes Trump, but he still loves Republicanism and conservatism. His issue with Trump seems to be that Trump pulled the facade off of the ugly edifice that is conservatism.

(5,227 posts)and they're trying to land future tv gigs ala Matlin and Carville. They likely laugh about it every night and think we all are suckers to believe their shit.

Its possible that Kellyanne doesnt really believe what she says, and when they get home, they just laugh at the idiot in the WH together. Or maybe they just have a rule of forgetting about politics when theyre together. I dont know.
