Team Trump Adds Big Tech to ‘Enemies of the People’ List

A joint fundraising committee of the Trump campaign and Republican National Committee sent out an email on Tuesday with the headline “Enemies of the People.” While Trump has most often applied that term to media he calls “fake news,” the new email includes big tech companies whose supposed “censorship” of conservative views was the focus of the White House’s recent “social media summit.” There is scant evidence to support the assertion that tech companies censor users on their political leanings.

The email invited recipients to take an “Official Corrupt Media Censorship Survey” that includes 10 questions about what people believe and feel about conservative content being “censored” and “suppressed” on social media. Sample question: “Do you believe social media sites, like Facebook and Twitter, should be held accountable for censoring conservative American Patriots?”

4. We really do have two "realities" in the USA now...

The right wing believes (not thinks or 'has heard', they INTERNALIZE this):

* they are censored for beliefs, not violations of TOS or hate speech
(you have to obey the RULES of a forum or network or you get banned for BREAKING THE TERMS OF SERVICE, NOT BECAUSE OF YOUR VIEWS THEMSELF)

* "PC" means they can't say what they want, 1st Amendment issue!!!
(You STILL CAN SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT WITHOUT GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE, what you cannot do is avoid the social CONSEQUENCES of your chosen free speech. No where in the Constitution is any citizen guaranteed a right to freedom from the consequences of exercising that right...you can say all the racist tripe you know and Washington cannot ban it...but once it is public knowledge, your personal interests and business will pay full freight.)

*Climate change is a Chinese hoax, and ALL scientists are simply lying in an enormous conspiracy to get funding!!!!
(Despite certain worthless Senators and a penchant for equating 'weather' with 'climate', this is just an infuriating aspect of their pathology. Tangible, real-world evidence is discarded out of hand to support or maintain an illogical and fake conclusion...and they see NOTHING wrong with this, instead insinuating that it is EVERYONE ELSE (rational, sane, educated, erudite, informed) that just doesn't 'get it'. I can take misinformed or ignorant but have a really hard time understanding the flat out deception and participatory stupidity.)

*Immigrants are stealing all the good paying jobs and its not fair!!!
Despite statistics, employment figures, trends in manufacturing that extend back to the mid-1970's....NOTHING can shake these people from the desired conclusion - THOSE (black/brown/latin/asian/non-whites) people are responsible for any and everything wrong in America now...they believe this to the core and will forgive literally ANYTHING in support of their fantasy world...but, such slavish devotion produces an effect of self-reinforced delusion. They may not believe in feedback loops during climate discussions...but they LIVE them any time you examine their 'logic'.

Sad, but there reallys is no middle ground to be found when one side of a debate or political system has willingly divorced itself from objective reality. Everything is a set-up or scam or conspiracy to them, so that means NOTHING is rational or sane.
