I may be a shy stay-at-home mom...

...but I feel compelled to say that Paul Ryan is a lying, shameless fuckball weasel who should be repeatedly tased in the crotch until his balls shrivel to raisins--for the rotting mountain of puke-inducing, bald-faced lies that just spewed out of his rancid, frat-boy pie hole.

This is a new look for me, but I kinda like it!

Our entire convention should be devoted to un-spinning the Ryan lies.

They can't get away with blatant lies like this.

I think the Dems should say that, due to the misinformation and lies--that they've decided to focus the DNC on telling the truth to the American people--so they can make an informed decision.

This is really low for the Republicans. All day long, I heard on the radio and on cable news--the lies that Ryan told. Do they believe that most Americans are idiots who aren't capable of doing their own due diligence?

"Hi! I'm Paul Ryan and if you look outside, the moon is pink and sparkly because Barack Obama spent all of the Medicare money on decorating our beloved celestial object--that is now ruined! Ruined!!"

They lie--and they hope that the American people won't bother to fact check. It's insulting and I'm getting tired of it.

that's one more than died in the US in 2009.

I'm already mad, although I joked that the article about me in the Topeka paper seemed to say two things. 1. Hfojvt is angry and 2. hfojvt wants to raise taxes. In my campaign speech at Lawrence I said "great. The article makes me sound like a combination of a teabagger and Walter Mondale." I got a good laugh for that.

I like to do something positive with my anger though (besides running for office). I'd like to think that this discussion board could help in that effort to - to change this country. To convince more people to vote against Republicans and against DLCers. I just don't think that something like this violence and hate-filled OP is gonna convince people of anything, other than that this group is hate-filled and has fantasies of violence.

Maybe I am wrong. I guess my own poorly written piece didn't do any good. http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021222445 and this is not getting enough Missouri views to make a difference http://www.democraticunderground.com/1061299 Oh, and look, this fact-filled post got 9 recs and a whole three replies http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002908833

Maybe next time I should just write "god, but I hate these Republican fuckwad, a$$wipe, motherfucking, douche-bag, pieces of shit and I'd like to tear all their fingers off with a red-hot pliers."

Probably if I could have forced myself to listen to Ryan's speech, I would have wanted to write something like that. But after only being able to stand ten minutes of Ann Romney's speech, I knew that I better not try to listen to Ryan.

But the other truth is, at this point, I cannot stand to listen to Obama either.

Which would seem to indicate either a disease or a demonic possession.

2nd. She got over 4,500 views for her excrement laden post.

I happen to like the idea that what is posted here CAN make a difference. If you google "Dave Spence jobs". My own thread is on the front page. It's number 8. I like to think it might help keep Dave Spence from becoming Governor of Missouri. If MY thread had gotten on the front page of DU, then maybe 4,000 people could have seen it and come away thinking "Republicans are full of hot air". Instead of something like "liberals are full of hate".

Of course, many here are just wallowing in the hate.

My man Martin was not a big fan of hate

"A fifth point concerning nonviolent resistance is that it avoids not only external physical violence but also internal violence of spirit. The nonviolent resister not only refuses to shoot his opponent but he also refuses to hate him. At the center of nonviolence stands the principle of love. The nonviolent resister would contend that in the struggle for human dignity, the oppressed people of the world must not succumb to the temptation of becoming bitter or indulging in hate campaigns. To retaliate in kind would do nothing but intensify the existence of hate in the universe. Along the way of life, someone must have sense enough and morality enough to cut off the chain of hate. This can only be done by projecting the ethic of love to the center of our lives." Stride toward freedom, MLK, 1958 pp 103-104.

The tourettes thing was shitty. Own up to it. As for her swearing, well, in case you've never noticed, threads with ranting and raving frequently become popular on DU. *shrug* That's the way it's been in the 5+ years I've lurked here and read. There's pretty much always someone going off about something, and it's usually quite peppered with a multitude of swearing. If you want a medium for intellectual, profanity-free, pure political discussion where you have total control of the content posted, there's a word for that. It's called a blog.

I am not "playing" anything.

Point made, by you nonetheless. You're being deliberately obtuse and dodging the issue here, which is why you insist on calling her names (and thus insulting the special needs community at the same time) and throwing a hissy fit about a post on a message board. Also, if it was the "hatred" that bothered you more than the "fucking profanity," then why the need to use the stupid, juvenile, rude, tired insult of "so you have Tourette's syndrome then?" as the title of your very first post addressing her? The very implication of the slur (yes, slur) is that it is the swearing that upsets you, not the "hatred," as you assert.

Regardless, your tantrum about her profanity and your degradation of an entire block of the special needs community is better suited for a private blog.

...and I do agree that coarse language is not always approprirate. In fact, I really resisted posting my rant. I've never posted a rant like that. I certainly don't talk like that in real life.

And yes, there are a thousand more productive and more effective ways to rally against these lying Republicans. And in general, I think swearing can make a person look foolish.

With that said, I guess my post represents an out-of-character response that is over the top and vulgar--from someone who ordinarily (well, really--NEVER) posts like that. I take responsibility for my post and my anger. However, it's just worth noting that Paul Ryan's lies are so despicable, so horrendous, so over-the-top and so unfair--that I felt compelled to let 'er rip!

My post may offend, and I understand that--but it's sincere! I think we can all agree that sitting there and listening to Ryan LIE over and over and over and over--and to understand that he knows he's lying---is exasperating!

That's fine if you don't agree with my naughty tone. But it is what it is--and I certainly believe that the outrage and disgust behind it is certainly justified.

Ever since the Rape comments from (i am stuck in puritan days) Akin I have had to take a step back because I was letting my anger at the republican party in general take over and color everything I was doing!!!

I had to constantly remind myself that being angry is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die.

So instead I decided to act and volunteered with my local Democratic party headquarters...(and me an Independent) go figure!!!

Aug 2012

You are so right about the weeks and weeks of Akin and other horrible rape comments--affecting our tolerance level. I mean seriously, how much of this lunatic, frightening rhetoric are we supposed to endure? Lyin' Ryan and his endless tirade that was supposed to be this heartfelt, tough, intelligent speech--was just too much.

These people have no soul. They lie repeatedly and they know it and they just don't care. To hear Ryan's lies--after listening to these Republican men discuss women as if we're objects to be bantered about for political-discussion purposes was very degrading and hurtful.

You are also right about being proactive and doing something. I am volunteering as well and putting my energies to good use. That is so important and a healthy way to channel that anger for good use. Anger is good though--he signals injustice and unfairness. It's a sign that your mind and body understand that something is realllllly, realllly wrong. And it is!

I think it helps when you see that others are just as angry as you are. It is very draining to listen to these lies, and to hear these men talk about women as if they are constructs. Women are not people to them. We are constructs to be talked around--while they extoll their "pro-life" positions.

I am just sick of it all! Ryan's obscene lies were the last straw for me, and for many others I'm guessing too.

When you see your own anger reflected back in others--it helps you to feel not so alone, right?

And you know what, it's starting to look like we might actually win.....in spite of their lies.

We don't always have to take the high road. I think your post was a beautiful thing. F your detractors.
