Not only is he a criminal...

...he is also bad for our country.

He is bad for our children.

He sets a bad example.

He lies.

He slanders and calls names.

He bullies those under him.

He is "unfit" to lead our country. Democrats know it. Republicans know it.

He did not win the popular vote. More people did not vote for him. He cannot claim popular acclamation.

Knowing all this to be true, the Congress still hesitates to impeach him, as if that would be against the will of the people.

We hope they have the sense to do the right thing

refuse to even talk about current events that could even touch on Trump or Republican policies, statements, actions or criticisms in the most INDIRECT way possible.

I walk my dog with a neighbor who may not have voted for him, but very likely has a husband who did and it has gotten to the point that she won't watch the news at all. She refused to even discuss a very current in the news story directly and singly involving a specific Federal agency with whom she once worked, saying instead that this thing is happening to "all of them" and becoming angry when I suggested I'd send her some article links.

Our acceptable subject areas are now so limited, that once we get past talking about the weather, our dogs, and health we are doomed to near silence. I've taken to describing cute YouTube videos of animals as about the only "safe" line of discussion.

Some here know that I spent time overseas when my parents worked in a very regressive country (that remains so today, though at the time they were showing openness to improved Western relationships. I remember as a teen being warned about not saying or writing ANYTHING that was even remotely critical of government, leadership, that society or anything related. I can not describe how stifling that was and how stressful--but there were really serious implications for not following this direction. That is how our society feels today.

Or do we just ignore it?

Our society is very divided. I do not see anything getting better as long as Donald Trump is in office. I cannot see the majority of Americans accepting as "normal" the behaviors and actions of Donald Trump.

It's a tough decision.

Our supposed leaders in congress are complicit in the atrocities being perpetrated. By doing nothing they are condoning it.
