2. We have some wacky pronunciations here in the South

Here in the South it there is a town Vienna pronounced Vi ee nuh. There's a town Albany, GA pronounced Al benny. There's a bunch more. Kind of to get hard used to. Oh yeah-here in TN the town Lafayette is pronounced La FAY ette.

3. But HELena is in Montana.

It's not just the South. Here in Minnesota we have Montevideo, pronounced Mon-ti-VID-ee-o, and Monticello, Mon-ti-SELL-o. Next door in Wisconsin is Berlin, pronounced BRR-lin.
