(4,552 posts)If people don't have adequate money to buy stuff, only essential companies will exist (think: commodities, natural resources, and utilities) -- at which point the prices charged to consumers will be jacked up sky high.

(51,907 posts)--and AGGREGATE demand? If the total amound of disposable income stays constant or declines, Apple doesn't create any extra consumption at all. People merely cut back on other non-necessities to buy their products, thus destroying the customer base of those other companies.
