https://www.mediaite.com/tv/preet-bharara-defends-mueller-from-attempts-at-character-assassination/When he was asked a question that was logical and sensible and was grounded in reality, and was asked at a reasonable pace, he knew exactly what was going on and answered clearly and concisely, Bharara said. There were some folks who were rattling things off with him, word salads, and he had to ask the question, repeat it, and he didnt immediately understand what was being asked. I think a lot of people would be in that position.
Bharara concluded that whats going on here is another dimension of character assassination thats been going on for two years now. Wolf Blitzer took note of Bhararas defense by asking did you know every detail of every case that the U.S. Attorneys office in the Southern District in New York went through?
You cant possibly, Bharara answered. No individual on a large investigation when you have a large team knows every fact because no individual has read every document and interviewed every witness. Its the collective of the group that produces the product.

(32,706 posts)Even when they didn't get him, they were still trying anyway. Of course Mueller is on the defensive, anybody would be. They should make these grandstanders - speechifiers who are just looking for attention - hold a press conference and stay out of the hearing room.
I completely agree with Preet Bharara and I'm disappointed that MSNBC doesn't have somebody of his caliber on their commentary. MSNBC really dropped the ball on this, they should have Dem leaders like Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, Sally Yates, and many others I could name instead of Claire McCaskill who's not even a member of Congress any more.

But I listened to his 5 minute rant and never did know what his question was. At one point Mueller said he disagreed with the premise of the question so how can you answer such a question. Jordan just kept making accusatory statements laced with false information and kept trying to entrap Mueller. Mueller should have been prepared for that better than he was.
